Ancient Academy was born out of love for history and understanding the power of history to support personal and professional growth.

I know that many people are just as interested as I am in the wealth of human experience that history has preserved. Ancient Academy is our chance to explore it together.

I have always been interested in the human experience and trained as a professional historian. You could say I love to study – I hold a PhD in Classics and Ancient History. I’ve published on the ancient world, taught history and literature for many years, and am the co-host of a successful indie podcast on the ancient Roman world.
